New Gameplay Video with Battle scenes

Finally we were able to create a new video of our Settlers III remake on an Samsung Galaxy S3. This time, not only the quality should be better, than the first time, but we also show some battles!

If you enjoy our work, share and like us, so that others can also find our project.

      Hi Matze,
we actually plan to improve the AI. But first of all, we need to get the game playable in multiplayer, then we will work on an AI.
      Greetings, Andreas

No, not yet. The game is still in an early state of development and therefore can not be downloaded yet.

Wow this is awesome! One thing I am not getting: is this just for Android or you are making a Mac version as well?
    Thanks so much guys!

      Hi Viviana,
We’re currently planning to have the game running on Android, Linux, Windows and Mac Os. But: We are currently not testing on Mac Os. We’re testing on Android devices and we’re developing on Windows and Linux. But it should not be a big issue for use to make it work on Mac Os, because we’re using Java an therefore it should be platform independent (except for the JOGL library to access OpenGL from withing Java).
So the short answer is: We currently plan a Mac version, too.
      Best regards!

I love how the areas update 🙂 I’m also looking forward to play this game on linux, since the original is not running well on VirtualBox or wine. Also, it’s hard to run such an old game in network games, so I really hope things get better with your fantastic remake 🙂

As you stated, networking is already done, I want to share an interesting concept of p2p networking: https://sites.google.com/site/hydrap2p/Home/motivation

Using graphics and sounds of an old game is a hot topic, maybe the guys from http://www.siedler25.org/ can share some experience, and how to approach ubi soft.

Do you like the idea of making the game open source?

    cheers

      Hi sulai,
thanks for your confidence in our work 😉 and the link to HydraP2P. I’ll certainly take a look at it!
And thanks for pointing me to the guys of http://www.siedler25.org. Maybe they can share some legal information 😉
At the moment we’re not planning to make the code open source. We’re in an early stage (pre alpha) and don’t know what’s possible. 😉
      Best regards

Nice video and nice to hear, that this project is still alive 🙂 I’m sorry for thinking that this is not a real project (like you have seen in the RttR Forums) but I really like your work! Hopefully this project and BitSerf will be playable soon on android devices. And that someone also makes an Android remake of Settlers II 😛

Thanks for doing such a remake 🙂
